I drove to Marfa this week because I had to write a story for texas highways. Yes, I’ve already been to Marfa because I had to write a story for texas highways. That was back in April. Drove out there. Got a motel room. Walked around a little and drove around a lot, and left town thinking well maybe I’ll think of something later. I did not think of something later. I wrote a thing that included a list of songs on the radio and a detailed description of a motel room. And I turned it in with a note saying “I don’t know what this is. I’m sorry.”
