Van Update

First, Jalopnik bought my little story about van work. Which is cool as hell. Really didn’t see my writing career veering into car magazines but it’s not like I predicted anything else either. Plus, cool artwork. Seriously.

The ceiling is insulated, and one day soon (or someday) I’ll have another ceiling that’s not the shiny foil side of this insulation mat. I don’t know if it works. I’ve got a thermometer in the van and before I did anything, at 90 degrees, it was hitting 115 in there. Now we’re sitting right around 100 degrees. But while the exhaust fan isn’t running, it’s still venting. So, whatever. (I used this if you’re curious. I am not an insulation expert. They all looked about the same, but I went with this because it’s made in Ukraine which seemed like a good enough reason. Also maybe they know something about the cold.)
